Guardia IRIS Contemporary Floating Bed

The IRIS pairs a slim floating bedframe with a panelled wall board, combining plain lacquer and veneer woods, with an optional LED light inset within the wall board.

Recessed legs create the floating effect that gives the bed its clean, low profile.

Choose your finish

Have the frame and wall board entirely in a wood veneer, entirely in a matt lacquer of your choice, or combine the two. If you add bedside tables or a chest of drawers, the same finish combination is carried through to them.

The IRIS is also available as an oak veneer and lacquer version.

Wall board extension panels

The outer extension panels sit either side of the wall board, perpendicular to the bedside tables. They are optional and priced separately, and come in a choice of widths so you can match the space you have. In the main image they match the width of the bedside tables. What’s included

You receive a set of two slatted bases whatever bed size you order. The one exception is the 140 x 190 cm slatted base upgrade, which comes as a single large base.

Guardia LED lighting carries a 6 month manufacturer’s guarantee. The bed itself is covered by our 5 year warranty.

Installation

Wall boards are supplied with fittings and full instructions for you to mount, or the bed can simply stand against the board – we don’t drill into property walls. See the Installation tab for full details, including skirting boards.

Mattresses

Consult our range of snug fitted mattresses. There are mattresses for all budgets, requirements and comfort levels. The mattress sits fully visible on this frame, so its depth and edge finish are part of the look.

Bed frame and furniture

Your bed frame, and any matching bedside tables or chests of drawers, are assembled and installed for you. Full terms are on our installation page.

Scotland: Guardia beds are supplied on a free home-delivery, self-installation basis in Scotland.

Wall boards and extension panels

We don’t fix wall boards or extension panels to property walls. Doing so means drilling into your wall, which sits outside our installation policy – see clause 30.4 of our terms and conditions.

Every wall board is supplied with the fittings and full instructions needed to mount it, so you can fit it yourself or have your own fitter do it.

You have two options:

• Mount the wall board to your wall. The bedframe then sits against it. This gives the flush, built-in look shown in our photography.
• Have us fix the wall board to the bedframe. Nothing is attached to your wall and the whole piece can be moved, but the bed will stand slightly away from the wall. Let us know in the order notes at checkout, or when we contact you after your order.

Skirting boards

If you’re mounting the wall board to your wall, it needs to sit flush – and a skirting board will hold it away. There are two ways round this: remove the skirting where the bed is going, or we cut the wall board to fit around it.

There’s nothing to measure before you order. We’ll contact you to confirm your skirting board height and thickness before your order goes into production. If you already know the dimensions, you’re welcome to add them to the order notes at checkout.

Sockets and plugs

Wall boards and extension panels are 6 cm thick and partly hollow at the back, so any existing plugs and sockets behind them can stay exactly where they are.

Guardia bedroom furniture ranges are exclusively manufactured in Spain, by a dedicated craft firm, established in 1967, capable of manufacturing standard and made-to-measure bedroom furniture in selected veneer woods or matt and glossy lacquers, in RAL finishes if required.

Hasena Beds with Leather Headboards: When opting for leather parts, where optional, the lead time will be closer to 9 weeks. When opting out, it will be closer to 4 weeks. You can opt for part dispatch, choosing to have the bed as soon as possible, and leave the leather part for later dispatch. Costs may apply for second, completion deliveries. Please contact us if you are interested in part dispatch.
